There are three primary issues arising upon breakdown of a relationship and separation:

  1. custody

  2. access

  3. child support

2. Spousal Support

  1.  support to be paid between spouses (married or common-law)

3. Property Issues:

  1. division of personal property

  2. matrimonial home

  3. pensions

  4. equalization payment under Part I of the Family Law Act
